Quality Assurance Engineer

We're on the look out for a quality assurance engineer  to join our tech team. You will be at the heart of an exciting, rapidly growing start-up, building an AI-driven platform for mapping the world's expertise and faciltating faster global knowledge exchange.

You'll be part of our growing team, working with a fast expanding team of enthusiastic developers, and will be responsible for developing and executing tests of our product, and coordinating with product team and internal users to ensure we catch all issues before releasing new versions. Specifcally you'll be working on:

  • Testing platform and identifying issues
  • Suggesting solutions to identified product problems
  • Investigate product quality to achieve better customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure consistent project execution
  • Identify key KPIs for product quality, collect data and present back to the seniour management


  • Knowledge of software testing principles
  • At least a year's prior experience in software development team
  • Experience working with JavaScript


  • Prior experience in quality assurance position or UI Testing, Automated Testing or Test Driven Development Strategies
  • Experience working with a JavaScript framework, such as Angular/Angular.js, React, or Vue.js. (Angular is our preferred option!)
  • AWS experience
  • Agile/scrum experience.

Compensation and details of employment:

  • A salary of £25-35,000 (dependent on experience).
  • Share options in the company to the value of a proportion of your salary.
  • Annual bonus related to company performance.
  • This is a full-time, permanent position, to be based in our Cambridge office.
